Frank Campo is Professor of Music and Chair of Composition and Theory at California State University Northridge. The Three Studies for Guitar Quartet was composed in 1989 for the California State Northridge Guitar Quartet organized by Professor Ron Purcell and that group soon gave the work its first and several subsequent performances.
